Aggies Release Inaugural Mountain West Schedule

DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis men's basketball will open its first Mountain West Conference schedule at home against Grand Canyon on Jan. 2, beginning an 18-game slate that brings nine league contests to University Credit Union Center.
The Aggies will play home-and-away series against each of the Mountain West's other nine members: Air Force, Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, Nevada, New Mexico, San José State, UNLV, UTEP and Wyoming. Conference play concludes March 6 at Grand Canyon.

UC Davis begins league play with consecutive home games against Grand Canyon and Hawai'i before making its first conference road trip to New Mexico on Jan. 9 and Wyoming on Jan. 12. The Aggies return home to face San José State on Jan. 16 and UNLV on Jan. 19, then close January with road games at UTEP and Hawai'i.

The February slate features home games against Nevada, Air Force, UTEP, Wyoming and New Mexico along with road contests at San José State, Nevada and Air Force. UC Davis finishes the regular season with trips to UNLV on March 2 and Grand Canyon on March 6.

The nine conference home dates, combined with eight home games on the previously announced nonconference schedule, give UC Davis 17 regular-season games at University Credit Union Center. The Aggies went 12-4 at home last season and enter 2026-27 with seven returners from a 19-14 team and eight newcomers.

The regular season leads into the 2027 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Basketball Championships at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The men's tournament runs March 10-13, with all 10 teams competing and the top six seeds receiving quarterfinal byes.
