UPCOMING OPPONENTS
Following the four-game road trip, the Aggies return home to Schaal Aquatics Center on Friday to take on UC Irvine in a non-conference match-up at 7 p.m. The Anteaters are currently 14-10 overall and 4-5 in Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play. The Anteaters posted back-to-back upsets last week as they defeated Arizona State, 9-6 and UC Santa Barbara, 11-5. With the wins, UC Irvine's national ranking has been lifted from No. 11 to No. 9.
Saturday and Sunday the Aggies will host the 26th-Annual Davis Shootout at Schaal. The tournament will feature ten teams and with the exception of No. 16 Indiana, all teams are members of the WWPA. The Aggies will face Colorado State and No. 14 UC San Diego on Saturday, game times are 10:10 a.m. and 3:35 p.m. On Sunday, UC Davis will face UC Santa Cruz at 3:20 p.m. before taking on No. 4 Loyola Marymount in the tournament finale at 5:30 p.m.
HEAD COACH Jamey Wright
"We are coming off of a relatively good road trip. I think we played well in adverse circumstances, just having finished finals and being on the road for an extended amount of time. Hopefully we will be able to take that momentum into this weekend."
"We have several challenging games this weekend and though these games don't determine if we go to nationals, they can affect our seeding into the WWPA tournament. This weekend will be the last significant test before conference and we need to make use of these games. We have a lot of reasons to be excited about this weekend."
