DAVIS, Calif. - Junior Cassie Schaefer and sophomore Jessica Soza each posted a hat trick as the Aggies defeated Pacific, 16-3 Friday evening in a non-conference game at Schaal Aquatics Center. Aggie seniors Megan Jimenez, Jessi Lafayette and Katie O'Neill were honored prior to the game.

With the win the fourteenth ranked Aggies' season record is lifted to 17-11 while Pacific falls to 0-20.

Lafayette opened the scoring for UC Davis almost two minutes into the game and the Aggie lead was stretched to two when O'Neill scored off of an assist from Christi Raycraft. Julia Snyder scored the first of her three goals for the Tigers with a lob shot placed over the goalie's head to cut the lead to 2-1. With 51 seconds left in the first, Schaefer scored her first of three goals on a four-meter penalty shot.

Schaefer and Patronas each scored before Snyder scored back-to-back goals early in the second quarter. Unfortunately for the Tigers, Snyder's three goals was the extent of their scoring for the game as the Aggies posted eleven unanswered goals, including back-to-back goals for Soza.

The Aggies will celebrate Picnic Day on Saturday, April 22 by hosting an alumni game at Schaal. Game time is set for 11 a.m.
