NOTES
The Aggies took last week off from competition for finals, but will return to action this weekend with three games on their slate... Two weeks ago, UC Davis hosted Stanford at Schaal Aquatics Center in a non-conference match-up... The Aggies had a strong first half, coming within one-point of the Cardinal several times, but the Stanford defense proved to be too tough in the final half as they held UC Davis scoreless... Katherine O'Rourke, Jessica Soza and Mary Lowe each scored for the Aggies... O'Rourke continues to lead UC Davis in goals with 26 on the season... O'Rourke also had three drawn exclusions in the loss... Christi Raycraft had one assist, a steal, two drawn exclusions and two field blocks... Raycraft continues to lead UC Davis in assists (19) and steals (25)... Goalie Lina Moore had ten saves against the Cardinal, she now has a team-high 81 blocks on the season... The No. 14 Aggies' season record now statnds at 9-8 and is 5-1 in the Western Water Polo Association.

UPCOMING OPPONENTS
On Saturday, UC Davis will face the Brown Bears for the second time this season. The last time these two teams met was in the UC Santa Barbara Gaucho Invitational's fifteenth place game where the Aggies came away with a decisive 13-1 victory. The Bears are currently 4-9 on the season and most recently played Harvard who they defeated in a narrow 3-2 victory in Brown's home opener last Saturday.

Sunday the Aggies will head South to face No. 20 Cal State Bakersfield in Bakersfield before making the trek to San Bernardino where they will face Cal State San Bernardino that same evening. Bakersfield has posted a season record of 14-9 and are 1-2 in the WWPA. The last time the Aggies and Roadrunners met up was in the 2005 WWPA Conference Championships' first round where UC Davis came away with a 12-4 victory. This will also be the first time the Aggies face WWPA opponent Cal State San Bernadino this season. The Coyotes have gone 6-2 in WWPA action this season. The Aggies and the Coyotes faced off last in 2005, UC Davis came away with the 7-4 win.

On Monday, Mar. 27 a new game has been added to the Aggie schedule. UC Davis will take on Harvard at Redlands at 2 p.m. Harvard, a member of the Collegiate Water Polo Association, has posted a record of 6-5 on the season.

Rounding out the spring break road trip will be a WWPA game against Loyola Marymount on Wednesday, Mar. 29 at LMU. The No. 4 Lions and the Aggies last met in the 2005 WWPA championship game where LMU captured the 8-4 victory and the conference title. The Lions are 9-3 on the season and won the season opening UC San Diego Triton Invitational and took fifth at the UC Santa Barbara Gaucho Invitational earlier this season. LMU will play five more games before hosting the Aggies at the Burns Center next Wesnesday.

HEAD COACH Jamey Wright
"This is a very tricky week and typically the hardest stretch for us every year. This is the time of the year you really want to be on top of things and be working on fine tuning certain elements of our game. The week before finals is always a little freaky, so you have a week and half to two weeks with shorter practices and that makes everything trickier."

"It will be interesting against Brown because we had a pretty easy time against them in Santa Barbara and we were able to jump on them early. Last time we played them though it was at the end of a five game sweep for them and this time it is the top for them. We are coming off a tough week and they may be fresher. Between Saturday and Sunday and all the traveling we are going to be doing next week it is pretty unbelievable. We will just have to see how it all goes."
