2020: Season canceled by the Big West Conference due to COVID-19, student-athletes will not lose a year of eligibility and maintain their athletic standing for the 2021-22 academic year.

2019: Appeared in 29 of the team’s 30 matches and 105 of the team’s 112 sets… Finished third on the team with 186 kills and averaged 1.77 kills per set… Finished fourth on the team with 45 blocks and averaged 0.43 blocks per set… Posted double-digit kills seven times, including a season-high 18 at UC Irvine (hitting .325) on Nov. 16… Hit a season-high .667 (9-1-12) at UC Riverside on Nov. 23 in the regular season finale and also hit .615 (8-0-13) against Highlanders earlier in the year on Sept. 29… Finished with a season-high four blocks at Long Beach State on Nov. 2.

2018: Appeared in 27 matches for 83 sets... Finished with 141 kills (1.70) on 390 swings for .203 average... Totaled 45 blocks, including 29 in Big West play... Started matches at Cal Poly (9/18) and Long Beach State (10/6)... Posted season-high 18 kills and .333 average vs. UC Riverside (10/11)... Had 4 block assists at home vs. Long Beach State (10/25).

2017: Redshirted the season.

CALABASAS HS ’17: Totaled 550 kills with 253 blocks and a .550 average to earn All-Marmonte League first-team honors as a senior... Propelled team to school-record 24 wins and its best-ever Southern Section tournament run in 2016... Later voted as school’s Female Athlete of the Year... Had 293 kills for All-ML third-team accolades and team’s Most Improved honors as a junior... Played club ball for Los Angeles Volleyball Academy South.

PERSONAL: Born in Burbank, Calif.... Has not declared a major... Parents are Nicolai Strehl & Marly Tempel... Oldest of two siblings, along with brother Max (15)... Favorite TV show as a kid was the Teletubbies... Perhaps related to that choice: would amend her sport by having all players wear different-colored jerseys, not just the libero.
