2019, 2021 Big West Conference All-Academic Team
2021: Appeared in 24 of the team's 31 matches, making 17 starts... Finished second on the team -- and No. 12 in the Big West Conference -- at 5.43 assists per set (478 total)... Added 15 aces and 161 digs (1.83 digs per set)... Posted double-digit assists in all but two matches... Finished with a season-high 36 at CSUN (Nov. 20)... Posted six double-doubles on the year, collecting 14 digs in the season opener at Sacramento State on Aug. 27 to go with 23 assists, and adding 12 digs at Cal Poly (Nov. 12) and at UC Santa Barbara (Nov. 19).
2020: Season canceled by the Big West Conference due to COVID-19, student-athletes will not lose a year of eligibility and maintain their athletic standing for the 2021-22 academic year.
2019: Appeared in all 30 matches and 112 sets… Named to the Aggie Invitational All-Tournament Team… Hit .328 with 52 kills and only 12 errors… Ranked second in the Big West in assists per set (9.84)… Her 1,102 assists were the most in the Big West and was one of only two setters with at least 1,000 on the year along with Cal Poly’s Avalon DeNecochea… Her assist total was the highest by an Aggie since Jenny Woolway finished with 1,201 in 2013… Finished with a season-high 62 assists in a five-set battle with Wyoming (9/14) — the most in the Big West this season — and added 58 more against CSUN in five sets (10/13) — the second-highest total in the league… One of six players with double-digit service aces, finished with 23 on the year and 0.21 aces per set… Her 233 digs ranked third on the team, averaing 2.08 digs per set… Also added 41 blocks and 0.37 blocks per set… Finished with a season-high four aces against San Jose State (8/30)… Her five blocks at Long Beach State (11/2) were also a season best.
2018: Appeared in 26 matches for 87 sets as a setter and DS... Totaled 235 assists (2.70) and 126 digs (1.45)... Posted 26 assists in four sets in first collegiate start at Long Beach State (10/6), then followed with high of 29 assists vs. UC Riverside (10/11) five days later... Scooped up season-best 14 digs in road win at UC Santa Barbara (9/29).
LOWELL HS ’18: Made All-Academic Athletic Association first team for three straight seasons, helping team snare San Francisco City championships each year... Added AAA Player of the Year as a junior... Played setter, right side and outside hitter throughout her prep career... Competed for Vision VBC (Los Gatos) for 10 years.
PERSONAL: Born in San Francisco, Calif.... Majoring in psychology... Parents are Jon Paul Seslar and Jennifer Banaszek... Name is pronounced "SESS-ler"... One of three siblings, along with Emma (21) and Williams (15)... Emma graduated from UC Davis in 2018... Grandfather, Cas Banaszek, played offensive line for the 49ers from 1968-77.
