NEWPORT HARBOR HS '17: Scored 30 goals with 29 groundballs and 15 draw controls as a senior... Voted as team's Most Improved that year... Two-time US Lacrosse All-Academic selection... Class valedictorian, earned Student of the Semester in physics and psychology; and finalist for Student of the Year in both math and science... Fun fact: Forbes magazine ranked UC Davis as its No. 1 STEM university for women... Played club ball for OC United.
PERSONAL: Born in Fountain Valley, Calif.... Majoring in physics... Parents are Kyle Bernard and Lieu Tran... One of five siblings, along with Connor, Kayla, Kaira and Anderson... Career sports highlight was posting a five-goal game while still recovering from seasickness... Claims to have "a very well-crafted alter ego."
