Ashley Peacock

  • Title
    Assistant Coach
Ashley Peacock, who served on the coaching staff at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2019, enters her first season with the UC Davis women's lacrosse program. She was hired to her position in August of 2019.

"I am excited to have Ashley join the Aggie family," Isidor said. "She brings great energy and knowledge of the game. She is a great addition to the UC Davis lacrosse program and I can't wait for her to arrive in California."

After spending two years as a goalkeeper at Louisville (2014-15), and then with the Retrievers (2016-17), Peacock spent the 2019 campaign at her alma mater, tutoring the UMBC goalkeepers as well as assisting with the UMBC defense, helping guide the unit to the top save percentage (.465) in the America East Conference — a mark that also ranked No. 28 in the NCAA.

The Retrievers also ranked fourth in the league in goals against average and third in saves per game with 10.33 spg. Senior goalkeeper Carly Tolino also ranked among the top 50 in the nation in goals against average (49th at 11.99), saves (22nd at 172), saves per game (28th at 9.56), and save percentage (32nd at .465).

On the field, Peacock began her career as a student-athlete as a two-year starter with the Cardinals, helping Louisville to a 17-4 overall record and a 7-0 mark in the Big East, helping lift the program to its first regular season and conference tournament titles in 2014. The two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Week was a 2014 Big East All-Tournament Team selection, helping lead the Cardinals to NCAA Tournament berths in 2014 and 2015 — including an NCAA "Sweet 16" berth as a freshman.

Transferring closer to her hometown of Crofton, Maryland, Peacock finished her collegiate career as a two-year starter for UMBC, earning a pair of America East All-Tournament Team honors and three conference defensive player of the week awards. She finished her Retriever career with 238 career saves in 33 career games.

A three-time all-conference selection with more than 300 saves to her name during her prep career at Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, Md., Peacock graduated from UMBC with a bachelor's degree in media and communications in 2018.
