UC Davis Athletics

2021: Appeared in 15 games for UC Davis… Started in 14 of 16 games… Three goals on the year were good for fourth on the team with one coming against UALBANYF (10/29) and two vs. Monmouth (10/31)… Four points in game against Monmouth (10/31) was tied for first among team leaders… Also recorded shots against Bellarmine (9/10), New Hampshire (9/26), and Stanford (10/26).

2020-21: Will not lose a year of athletic eligibility due to the NCAA’s COVID-19 policy… AMERICA EAST ALL-ROOKIE TEAM… Started all 11 games played… One of six players who finished tied for second with an assist… Recorded 15 shots and seven shots on goal, the third-highest individual total for each category… Posted a team-high five shots at Maine (4/18) — the Aggies’ 2021 spring season finale… Earned a defensive save against Vermont (4/15)… Recorded an assist vs. Monmouth (4/17)… Seven of her 15 shots were on goal… Two of her five attempts at Maine, both season highs, were on cage.

SAN PASQUAL HS ’20: Scored three goals, earned Rookie of the Year honors and helped her field hockey team win an Avocado East Conference championship… That was the first of four straight league titles won by SPHS’ field hockey team… Recorded four goals in her sophomore and junior seasons… Ended her senior season with a team-high goals total…   Also competed for her school’s soccer, track & field (sprint events), and swim (100m/sprint) teams… Won Avocado East titles with her soccer and swimming teammates… Named to the Valedictorian Circle, received Student-Athlete and Principal’s Awards all four years. 

PERSONAL: One of Cheryl and Kent Engdahl’s four children… Bryan, Morgan and Phillip are her siblings… Competed for San Diego RUSH from 2016-20… RUSH won the 2018 Disney Champions Showcase with Engdahl on the team’s roster… USA National field hockey players are the best athletes she competed against… Favorite facility she competed at is the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista… Chasing Mavericks is her favorite movie… Career plans involved working in a STEM-focused industry… Hiking, visiting the beach, car rides, attending concerts and playing the ukulele are her hobbies… Top three things on her bucket list are traveling the world, climbing Half Dome and winning a NCAA national title… Chose UC Davis because it it a place where she found the perfect community for her, and where she will flourish on the turf and in the classroom.
