One of the top goalkeepers in program history, 2011 All-American Kevin Peat returned to the program as an assistant coach in 2012. He served as a volunteer assistant that first season, left to serve on the department's event management staff, then rejoined the staff in 2013 to assist then-new head coach Daniel Leyson.
Peat assists in all aspects of the program, plus he handles the team's in-game statistics and video analysis.
As a senior team captain, Peat tallied a school-record 335 saves and became just the third Aggie goalie to surpass 1,000 career stops (1,011). He also earned all-tournament accolades at the WWPA Championship while picking up a conference Player of the Week nod during the year.
Peat started nearly every game in his four-year career, posting saves totals of 210, 230 and 236 through his first three seasons before eclipsing Mike McGee's 2007 mark as a senior.
The international relations major starred for De La Salle HS and Lamorinda WPC prior to arriving at UC Davis. He earned North Coast Section second-team honors as a senior, having held opponents to less than six goals per game. Peat's team posted a 21-6 record and won the NCS title in 2006.
