HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior, helped lead the Crusaders to a 9-2 overall record and the quarterfinals of the Oregon 6A state playoffs ... earned first-team all-league and all-state at center ... as a junior, helped Jesuit to a 12-2 overall record and the 6A state semifinals ... threw the shot, discus and javelin on the track team, earning a state berth in the shotput as a a senior ... also played baseball in high school.

PERSONAL: Son of two former Washington student athletes, Cameron and Mindy (Williams) Cleeland ... father played both football and baseball at UW before a seven-year NFL career ... mother played both softball (a four-year starter) and basketball for the Huskies and was a starter on the Huskies' first Women's College World Series team in 1996 ... Mindy also served as a strength & conditioning coach at UW following her playing career ... played football at Jesuit for coach Ken Potter ... Brother is a freshman on the Aggie football team.
