2024 (Sophomore): Saw time in 13 games ... Was key contributor on special teams ... Finished with 11 total tackles, seven solo tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss ... Made four stops against Cal Poly (Oct. 12), all solo, including a tackle for loss.

YUBA CITY HS '23: Comes to UC Davis from Yuba City High School … A three-time All-Metro selection at the linebacker position … A two-time All-Capital Valley Conference award winner … Garnered team MVP honors his junior season when he tallied 94 total tackles, three for a loss and one interception on the defensive side of the ball ... At quarterback, Afato amassed 1,551 yards and 21 total touchdowns … His senior season, he registered 100 tackles, 11 for a loss and two interceptions … On offense, Afato totaled 1,309 yards and 15 touchdowns.
