BUTTE COLLEGE: Played SS, OLB and nickel for perennial NorCal Conference power... Totaled 51 tackles with 3 forced fumbles and 3 PBUs... Posted a 71-yard pick six in 33-21 win at Shasta College (11/10/18)... Team went 9-2 and advanced to NCFC Northern semifinal... Earned Academic All-State honors (3.85 GPA)... Played for coach Rob Snelling, who served under Dan Hawkins and alongside Robert Tucker at Boise State.

SANTA BARBARA CITY COLLEGE: Lettered 2017 season, amassing 55 tackles and an interception (against Compton, 9/23/17)... Also had 5 PBUs: three vs. Allan Hancock, 2 vs. L.A. Pierce.

PLEASANT VALLEY HS ’16: Lettered in football, basketball and track... Helped football team win two Empire Athletic League championships... Posted 16 tackles with three picks as a senior... Helped team to 12-1 record and Northern Section title in 2015.

PERSONAL: Born in Chico, Calif... Economics major... Parents are Joe & Carin Kurung... Joe played basketball for Edinboro... Older of two brothers, along with Christopher.
