PIONEER HS [apos]12: Named the Tri-County Conference Offensive MVP in the Sac-Joaquin Section during the 2011 season... Also earned All-League honors on the defensive side as a linebacker... Tallied 1723 rushing yards in 2011 on 157 carries for an average of 10.98 yards per carry, in addition to 21 touchdowns for the season... Recorded 77 tackles (52 solos, 25 assists) and 3.0 sacks for losses of 14 yards... Awarded the Pioneer HS MVP award in 2011 and inducted into the football Hall of Fame... Participated in multiple All Star Games in 2011... Earned an outstanding academic honor in 2011 and 2012 while at Pioneer.

PERSONAL: Born in Woodland, Calif.... Majoring in exercise biology... Parents are David and Brenda Mahoney... His older sister, Megan, is a senior at UCLA... Has a career goal of becoming an athletic trainer... Enjoys weight lifting and playing tennis.
