2021 FALL: Named to the BIG SKY All-ACADEMIC TEAM… Garnered the team's JIM FERRIER AWARD (OUTSTANDING TRANSFER)... Appeared in 11 games… Totaled 25 tackles with 15 solo stops… Broke up one pass… Posted a season-high six tackles against San Diego (9/11).

2021 SPRING: On roster but did not play... Earned Big Sky Conference All-Academic honors.

UCLA: Played 12 games from 2017-19 as a reserve linebacker and on special teams... Posted 6 career tackles (4 solos, 2 assists), all in 2018... Notched career-high three stops against Stanford as a redshirt freshman (11/24/18)... Made Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll in 2019... Graduated in just three years, making Athletic Director's Academic Honor Roll six times.

SERVITE HS ’17: Totaled 64 tackles (36-28-64) with 5.0 TFLs and 2.0 sacks for 14 years as a senior... Played for head coach Scott Meyer... Previously played football and basketball at St. Louis School in Hawaii.

PERSONAL:  Born in Kaneohe, Hawaii... Pursuing master's in business administration from UC Davis' Graduate School of Management... Parents are James Smalley and Jeannie Roberts, both grads of Hawaii Pacific... One of five siblings... Career sports highlight was recording a TFL against Arizona State... Proudest accomplishment was graduating from UCLA in just three years.
