2016: Saw action in five games... Finished with a total of four unassisted tackles... Recorded a tackle against Southern Oregon and Wyoming, and two against Weber State.

2015: Redshirted.

LANEY COLLEGE: Played 2013-14 seasons for Laney.... Collected 39 tackles (28 solo) as a freshman... Also had two sacks a four tackles for losses... Broke up one pass... Followed with 19 tackles as a sophomore while also recording a TFL and an interception... Scored a touchdown on a six-yard fumble recovery against Sacramento City College.

FOREST CHARTER SCHOOL '12: Attended Forest Charter but played for Castro Valley HS... Earned All-East Bay Athletic League honors as a guard as both a junior and senior... Added All-EBAL first-team recognition during senior campaign... Helped lead Castro Valley HS to a 7-3 record and second-place finish in league.

PERSONAL: Born in Castro Valley, Calif... Majoring in managerial economics... Parents are Mark and Janette Ferguson... Grew up on a cattle ranch but was a top-ranked Alpine downhill ski racer... Member of Squaw Valley Ski Team... Had a national ranking of No. 2 in 2009-10 for the downhill and No. 5 in the Super G... Was a ninth-place finisher in the men's J-2 National Championships that year and was named to the Men's J-2 National Team... Hopes to run his own cattle ranch in the future... Title of his autobiography would be "Forrest Ferguson... Did he really just do that?"... As a linebacker, would like to see less no-huddle offenses... Would eye college rodeo for competition if not for football...
