UC Davis Athletics

Timothy Ornelas started his career with UC Davis Athletics in 2013 and eventually became the very first fulltime Football Video Coordinator at the university. He began as a volunteer with the football program, was assumed into Athletic Events and Facilities, and is now Director of Video and Technologies. He was the recipient of the CSVA Video Coordinator of the Year Award for the 2017-2018 season. As of December of 2023, he was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities, where he oversees the EFAC, UC Davis Health Stadium and Schaal Aquatics Center. 

 Timothy has a deep love for football and has maintained a connection to it for most of his life. He spent time as an assistant football coach at his high school alma mater and later became a football referee prior to working for UC Davis. He also has volunteered every year since 1999 helping organize the Sacramento Pig Bowl Charity Football Game as a board member and coach.   

Timothy has lived his entire life in the Sacramento region. He graduated from Sacramento State University in 2009 with a degree in Art History and a minor in Mathematics. Outside of work, he enjoys reading, watching sports, bowling, playing petanque, competing in competitive team trivia, and attending comedy shows and concerts. Timothy has been with his partner, Ashley, since 2004 when they met in a college Calculus class.
