2025 will be the fourth season Kevin Burke has spent as the running backs coach on the Aggie sideline.

During the 2024 season, under the tutelage and guidance of Burke, Lan Larison capped off a historic senior season. Larison earned multiple All-American honors, was named a Walter Payton Award finalist and set a new program record for career all-purpose yards.

Then-head coach Dan Hawkins officially announced the promotion of Burke to assistant coach overseeing the Aggie running backs during the start of the 2022 training camp. Burke previously served on the staff as the offensive quality control coach.

Burke came to Davis after two different stints as an assistant coach at his alma mater Mount Union where he most recently served as the quarterbacks coach. Burke spent three seasons as an assistant football coach at Case Western Reserve University after his first two-year stint as an assistant coach for the Purple Raiders.

Burke was the quarterback of the Raiders 2012 national championship team and then became the first player to win the Gagliardi Trophy in back-to-back years as the top all-around player in NCAA Division III Football. He holds the school record for total offensive yards in a season with 5,011 in 2014 and his 14,572 career yards of total offense is second-best in school history.

He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Mount Union.

Burke moved to Davis with his girlfriend Sharlie and the couple has enjoyed exploring Northern California and playing with his nephew Ryder. In his downtime, Burke plays golf, Call of Duty, listens to Leon Bridges and Luke Combs and helped lead his recreational softball team to the 2019 and 2020 Softball League Championship.
