2011: Played in seven games on special teams, while battling through injuries for the season... Served as the primary kick returner for a portion of the season, finishing second on the team with 20 returns for 418 yards... Recorded over 100 return yards at Arizona State (4-115) and at South Dakota (6-114)... Finished fifth on the team in all-purpose yards.

AMERICAN RIVER COLLEGE: Earned first-team All-Mid-Empire Conference distinction as a return specialist, averaging 26.8 yards per kick return in 2009... Also had 33 tackles, 3 interceptions and 8 pass breakups at cornerback... Blocked 4 field goals in his two seasons.

LAGUNA CREEK HS [apos]08: Captured first-team All-Delta Valley Conference accolades as a senior... Earned team[apos]s Best Back award... Tallied 69 tackles with 5 pass breakups, a pick and a blocked FG... Participated in Optimist All-Star game in 2007.

PERSONAL: Born in Fort Ord, Calif.... Majoring in sociology... Parents are James & Shanna Hines... Nephew of Tyrone Hines, who played running back at UC Davis in the mid-1990s.
