2021 SPRING: Made triumphant return from injury, collecting 8 passes for 120 yards and 2 TDs plus a 36-yard pass in spring opener at Idaho (3/6)... Second TD of that game erased a late 17-14 deficit to boost UC Davis to 20-17 lead midway through 4th quarter... Started three of team’s five games, leading Aggies with 24 receptions and 276 yards while tying TE McCallan Castles for lead in rec TDs (3)... Also carried the ball 7 times for 44 yards... Earned Big Sky All-Academic honors.
2019: Led Aggies in receiving during first six games before suffering season-ending injury at North Dakota... Caught 33 passes for 428 yards and TDs at San Diego (9/7), Lehigh (9/14) and Montana (9/28)... Also rushed 8 times for 18 yards and completed 3 of 5 passes for 85 yards... Threw 37-yard TD to Matt Hyman in 2nd quarter at USD, becoming first Aggie non-QB to record a passing touchdown since Gabe Manzanares in 2014... Hauled in 6 catches in each of first two games, then followed with season bests of 9-for-148 in home opener against Lehigh... Average of 5.5 recs/game would have ranked 5th in the Big Sky in a full season... Earned one of team’s Championship Culture awards... Named to Big Sky All-Academic team.
2018: Competed in 11 games… Named a starter in the Aggies’ FCS playoff game at Eastern Washington (12/8)… Inaugural touchdown as an Aggie took place in their 2018 season opener at San José State (8/30)… Set new career highs in rush attempts (5) and rush yards (25) vs. San Diego (9/8) in the team’s 2018 home home opener… First career pass completion, for 56 yards, took place at Montana (10/27)… Also caught a career-high five passes for 61 yards and a touchdown against the Grizzlies (10/27).
2017: Redshirted.
BEAVERTON HS '17: Four-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, baseball and track & field... Switched from wide receiver as a junior to quarterback as a senior, becoming first player in school history to rank among top five in both receiving and passing... Played for head coach Bob Boyer... Hauled in 54 passes for 904 yards and 16 touchdowns to earn first-team All-Metro League honors in 2015... Moved to opposite end of the aerial game, amassing 3,010 passing yards (plus 786 rushing) and threw for 37 TD strikes... Captured Offensive Player of the Year and snared another All-ML first-team nod... Team went 9-3 each year... Finished career as school's No. 2 career passer... Helped basketball team to 21-5 record, league championship and state quarterfinal berth in 2015-16... National Honor Society member with 3.82 grade-point average.
PERSONAL: Born in Beaverton, Ore.... Parents are Chris and Kristen Crawford... Both were college athletes; Chris played football at Portland State, Kristen played basketball at Carroll College... Hobbies include playing golf and building things -- most recently an electric longboard.
