2019: Started six games, platooning with Josiah Suani at nose tackle... Posted 16 total tackles (8 solos, 8 assists), with 3.0 TFLs for 13 yards... Also had a pass breakup (at Cal), a fumble recovery (vs. Montana State) and an assist sack (vs. Cal Poly)... Recorded season-best 3-1-4 tackles chart at home vs. Weber State (10/26).
2018: Started all 13 games… His seven tackles, 1.0 sacks and pass breakup versus Sacramento State (11/17) are all new career highs… Two of his three quarterback hurries took place in the Aggies’ season opener at San José State (8/30)… Earned the other at Eastern Washington (11/10)… Posted a sack, for a loss of 15 yards, vs. Northern Iowa (12/1) in the Aggies’ inaugural FCS playoff game in program history… Ended the season with 41 total tackles.
2017: Saw action in 10 games as a sophomore... Finished with 20 tackles, six solo and 14 assisted... Also had 2.5 tackles for loss, costing opponents six yards... Had 1.5 TFL at Idaho State (11/4), where he finished with four tackles (two solo) that day... Recorded a career-high five tackles at Portland State (9/16), including an assisted tackle for loss... Two other four-tackle performances took place against San Diego State (9/2) and San Diego (9/9).
2016: Saw action in 10 games, earning starts against Weber State (9/24), Portland State (11/5) and Montana State (11/12)... Finished with 16 tackles (12 unassisted)... Picked up 1.5 tackles for loss (eight yards)... Posted a season-high three unassisted tackles at Montana State (11/12).
2015: Redshirted.
CATHEDRAL HS '15: Earned All-Angelus League first-team honors after collecting 65 tackles (28 solo) during his senior season... Also named defensive player of the year... Averaged 5.9 tackles per game... Posted 6.0 TFLs... Finished fourth on the team in tackles... Recorded a season-high 13 tackles (all solo) against Salesian HS, 12 against Downey HS and 10 versus Harvard-Westlake HS... Posted a combined 34 tackles during sophomore and junior seasons.
PERSONAL: Born in Altadena, Calif.... Parents are Emmett and Lisa Franklin... Favorite TV show growing up was "That's So Raven"... Best athletes he's competed against have been Marcus LoVett (St. John's basketball) and Adoree Jackson (USC cornerback)... Favorite facility he's competed at is the Staples Center.
