2017: BIG SKY CONFERENCE ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM... MIKE WISE AWARD (program's outstanding freshman) recipient... Played in all 11 games as a true freshman... Finished with 27 receptions for 324 yards and three touchdowns... Averaged 12 yards per catch and 35.5 all-purpose yards per game... Opened the season with a touchdown at San Diego State (9/2)... His next two occurred on the road at Northern Arizona (10/21) and Idaho State (11/4)... His strongest performance came at Idaho State, moving the ball 91 yards on four receptions and a three-yard rush... Also recorded his longest catch of the season in that game with a 47 yard reception and a career-long 33-yard touchdown catch... Additionally, had 13 carries for 66 yards and a season-long 35-yard run against North Dakota (9/30).

LAGUNA HILLS HS '17: Two-time team MVP and captain... First junior in program history to garner MVP accolades... Led the nation in punt returns with 32.4 yards per return... Set school records for all-purpose yards in a season (2,330) and career (4,198)... Played for coaches Bruce Ingalls (2015) and Mike Maceranka (2016)... Twice earned All-Sea View League first team honors, adding SVL Offensive MVP distinction in 2016... Hauled in 46 passes for 785 yards and nine receiving touchdowns that year... Also rushed for another 157 yards and two TDs, in addition to 77 tackles (61 solos, 16 assists), four interceptions and four fumble recoveries at strong safety... Clocked at a 4.43 40-yard dash... Also stars in track & field, ranking second all-time in the program's history in 100 meters (10.98)... Qualified for Southern Section meet as a junior in both 100 and 200... Played for LHHS basketball team in both 2014-15 and 2015-16... Played two years for Orange County Elite 7-on-7 team (Mission Viejo, Calif.)... Four-year CSF, three-year National Honor Society member.

PERSONAL: Born in Laguna Hills, Calif.... Parents are Jeff & Marceé Montgomery... Logged more than 200 hours of community service through non-profit Lion's Heart Organization, for which he has held posts as vice president and historian... Tutors both peers and younger students in his free time.
