2019: Appeared in all 30 matches and 112 sets… Led the team with 421 kills and 3.76 kills per set, hitting .222 on the year… Her 30 service aces were second on the team as were her 268 digs and 2.39 digs per set… Finished third on the team with 47 blocks, averaging 0.42 blocks per set… Led the team with 11 double-doubles on the year… Became the 11th player in the history of the program to reach 1,000 career kills with 19 at Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 15… Her 421 kills are the most since Kaylin Squyres had 491 in 2015… Became only the third UC Davis player to collect 400 kills in a season at the Division I level along with Squyres and Allison Whitson, who each accomplished the feat twice… Ranked fifth in the Big West in kills per set (3.76) and ninth in service aces per set (0.27)… Posted the third-highest single-match hitting percentage in school history by hitting .800 (16-0-20) against Pacific (8/31)… Finished with a season-high 27 kills in a five-set contest against Wyoming (9/14) — which were tied for the third-highest single-match total in the Big West… Added 24 more kills in a four-set battle with Cal State Fullerton (11/5) and 21 in three sets against San Francisco (9/21)… All told, finished with double-digit kills in 24 of the team’s 30 matches, including the final 14 matches of the year... Added double-digit digs 13 times in. match to rank second on the team, including a season-high 17 against Wyoming (9/14)… Named the Big West Player of the Week on Oct. 14 after posting 17 kills against Long Beach State and 24 more against CSUN… Posted four blocks in a match twice against UC Riverside (9/29) and UC Irvine (11/16).
2018: Started 16 of 26 matches played for 78 total sets... Finished 3rd on team with 178 kills (2.28 per set) on 526 swings for .188 average... Also had 66 digs and 28 blocks on defense... Had nine matches with double-digit kills, including six straight from 8/25 through 9/7... Hit 13-1-16 (.750) against Nevada (8/25)... That stretch also included season's lone double-double: 13 kills, 11 digs vs. Oregon State (8/31)... Best conference match came at UC Riverside (11/3) with 10 kills, 9 digs and 17-for-17 on team's receive line.
2017: Appeared in 27 matches with 14 starts for 77 total sets played... Totaled 161 kills (2.09 per set) with 80 digs and 42 blocks... Hit .226 (86-35-226) in Big West play... Hit 48-16-108 (.296) in a three-match home stretch from UC Irvine (9/29) through Long Beach State (10/7)... Hit 17-4-30 (.433) with season-high 12 digs against the 49ers in that last match (10/7)... Recorded season-best 5 blocks twice: at UTA (9/14) and vs. Lamar (9/15) at the Maverick Classic.
2016: Started 26 of 28 matches played for 100 total sets... Posted 292 kills for team-high 2.92 kps... Also had 833 total swings, 153 digs, 59 blocks and 12 aces... Earned Big West Conference Freshman of the Week on 9/19 and 10/10... Second such honor followed 34-kill performance at Cal State Fullerton (10/8), best in the Big West for 2017 and third all-time at UC Davis... Previously hit 22-5-42 (.405) in four-set win over then-No. 17 Santa Clara (9/17)... Earned all-tournament at Oregon Classic (9/2-9/3) and Boise State Invitational (9/16-9/17)... Had four double-doubles, including 13 kills and 10 digs in collegiate debut vs. Ole Miss (8/26)... Among team’s primary passers, especially in conference.
HARBOR HS ’16: Two-time All-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League first-team honoree, plus Sophomore of the Year in 2013... Chose to sit out senior year to focus on club season with Main Beach VBC, which competed in USA Division at 2016 GJNCs... Played for Jan Furman, formerly the legendary Davis VBC mentor.
PERSONAL: Born in Santa Cruz, Calif.... Mother is Pamela Matias... Youngest of three siblings, along with Bradley (24) and Morgan (23)... Best athletes she has faced were her opponents at Junior Nationals... Chose UC Davis because “there was a certain feeling you get when you step on campus and you just know this is the place for you.”
