2018: PHIL WELLS TEAMMATE OF THE YEAR award recipient… Competed in three games… Completed a career-high three passes vs. San Diego (9/8) and at Northern Colorado (10/5)… Threw for a career-high 74 yards vs. San Diego (9/8)… Ended the season with 102 passing yards, on six passes (out of nine attempts), and two touchdowns.

PERSONAL: Son of Bret and Chalene Johnson... Has one younger sister, Cierra... His father, Bret, played quarterback at UCLA and Michigan State before playing professionally for the Atlanta Falcons and Toronto Argonauts... Rob Johnson, his uncle, played quarterback at USC and professionally with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins, Oakland Raiders and New York Giants... Bob Johnson (grandfather) played quarterback at Fresno State.
