Biography

2019: MPSF ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM… Started all 17 contests for the Aggies… Finished with 18 ground balls and eight caused turnovers… Her four ground balls against Bucknell on March 10 were a season high.

2018: ALL-MOUNTAIN PACIFIC SPORTS FEDERATION... Started all 14 games... Led team with 34 ground balls while ranking second (behind Taylor Cuenin) with 15 caused turnovers... Posted career-high 5 GBs vs. Claremont (2/18), plus 4-GB performances in back-to-back games against Fresno State (4/11 & 4/21)... Had 2 CTs on six occasions, including both matchups with San Diego State (4/8 & 4/29)... Made MPSF All-Academic rolls.

2017: Enjoyed breakout year, starting all 17 games as a low defender... Totaled 23 ground balls, 18 draw controls and 14 caused turnovers... Picked up season-high 3 GBs each vs. Stanford (2/10) and Saint Mary's (3/19)... Also had 2 DCs and three steals in that road win over the Gaels... Won 3 DCS against Columbia (3/16) and Oregon (4/16)... Earned MPSF All-Academic.

2016: Appeared in three home conference games as a reserve but did not record any stats.

WESTVIEW HS '15: Named to All-San Diego Section and All-Palomar League rolls in each of final three seasons... Moved from defender to center mid as a sophomore, responding with 18 goals, 38 draw controls and 16 ground balls that year... Combined for 42 goals with 11 assists, 47 GBs and 111 DCs in junior and senior years... Also a San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic honoree in both lacrosse and field hockey... Lifetime CSF member and National Honor Society member, graduating with better than a 4.0 GPA... Played club ball for Pacific Falcons (San Diego).

PERSONAL: Born in San Diego, Calif.... Majoring in mathematical analystics & operations research... Parents are Judith & James Garces... One of three siblings, along with Melanie (26) and Jared (21)... Little-known fact: she doesn't like chocolate... Career highlight was scoring game-winner in overtime during CIF-SDS Div. I title game.
