2014: Competed in bars lineup in eight meets, floor in six, vault in four and beam once... Finished strong on bars, starting with season-high 9.800 at home vs. Seattle Pacific... Scored 9.700-9.675-9.700-9.700 in four subsequent meets... Hit 9.700 in each of vault, bars and floor at MPSF Championships, then matched that score on each of bars and floor at NCAA Fayetteville Regional... Posted season-best 9.750 on floor at Cal... Earned MPSF All-Academic honors.

2013: Made vault lineup in all 12 meets, plus five appearances on bars and four on beam (not including exhibitions)... Opened season with 9.625 on vault, 9.600 on bars and season-best 9.675 on beam at NorCal Quad in San Jose... Hit 9.625 on vault two more times before sticking season-high 9.650 in home finale with Sac State/Air Force... Notched bars best of 9.700 at Washington w/Cal & UIC... Later went 9.675 at home vs. San Jose State in return to beam lineup.

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: National Honors Society member and U.S. Army Scholar-Athlete winner at San Marcos HS, where she graduated in 2012... Member of Southern California Elite Gymnastics Academy since 2004... Began competing at Level 10 in 2010, advancing to that year's Junior Olympics National Invitational... Placed 7th in all-around at state meet, then finished 13th at Region 1 and 12th at NIT... Won state all-around title in 2012... Three-time region Level 10 qualifier.

PERSONAL: Born in Oakland, Calif.... Majoring in animal biology, with hopes of becoming a marine biologist... Parents are Robert & Jane Yamashita... Older brother, Tom, graduated from Cal in 2014... Career highlight was winning state Level 10 championship in final year at SCEGA... Has visited five of the seven continents, listing South America as a destination she hopes to visit.
