2022: Led the Aggies in points for the 2022 season… Scored 31 goals as the team’s third leading scorer and distributed 26 assists as the team’s leading passer… Converted his shots at a 50 percent clip… Remarkably consistent throughout the course of the season, Murtaugh scored in all but six games this season and produced 11 multi-goal games… Had seven multi-assist games… Registered two goals and three assists against No. 16 Cal Baptist (9/16)... Posted a goal and three assists against No. 17 Santa Clara (10/27) and No. 12 Loyola Marymount (11/3)... Had five goals and three assists in the Aggies’ three WWPA tournament games… Named to the WWPA Second Team and WWPA All-Tournament Second Team.

2021: Appeared in 26 of the team's 28 matches, scoring 23 goals and assisting on another 23 for 46 points... Attempted 54 shots, averaging 2.08 shots per match with a .426 shooting percentage… Also added 15 steals... Netted a hat trick twice, scoring a career-high four goals and six points at Fresno Pacific (10/16) and three more goals against Mount St. Mary's (9/4)... Finished the year scoring in five straight matches.

2020: Team opted out of competition for the 2020-21 school year due to COVID-19, student-athletes will not lose a year of eligibility and maintain their athletic standing for the 2021-22 academic year.

2019: Appeared in 16 matches for the Aggies, scoring seven goals and assisting on another for eight points… Attempted 26 shots, averaging 1.63 per match with a .269 shooting percentage… Netted a hat trick on a season-high five shots in a win over Ottawa University (9/22) and added single goals in four other contests… Took three shots against No. 5 California (9/22) and against Fresno Pacific (11/22)… Posted his lone assist of the year against the Spirit (9/22) as well as a season-high two steals.

2018: Redshirted.

RIVERSIDE POLY HS ’18: Lettered four years each in water polo and swimming... Earned two All-Southern Section nods in polo... Recorded goals totals of 40, 97 and 77 from sophomore through senior seasons... Two-time CIF-SS finalist in the sprint freestyle events... Played club call for Riverside and Renegades WPC.

PERSONAL: Born in Hollywood, Calif... Father played water polo at Cal State San Bernardino... Youngest of three siblings.
