2022: Participated in five meets…Finished first at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational in the 5,000 meters (17:13.04)…Had personal best in the 5,000m at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic with a time of 17:07.35
2021 XC: Did not compete in any races.
2021 T&F: Lone appearance was 10K (18:48.05) in Causeway Track Classic (4/30)... Indoor season was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2020 XC: Season canceled due to COVID-19.
2020 T&F: Finished ninth in the 1500m at the Cal Invite (3/7) with a time of 4:42.48... That was the only meet the Aggies competed in since COVID-19 forced a premature end to the season... Made Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll with Highest Honors (3.51-4.00) for both track and cross.
2019 XC: Posted a 21:25.4 at the Dellinger Invite (9/13), a new personal best... Scored points for the Aggies at the Pre-Nationals (10/19) by finishing with a time of 21:46.7... Set a new personal best time at the Big West Conference Championships (11/2), and shaved 15 seconds off her previous best when she was the 11th runner to cross the line at the league's year-end meet... Finished third for the Aggies for the first time of her career at this meet.
MISSION VIEJO HS ’19: Three-sport athlete for the Diablos… Earned JV MVP honors as a center midfielder in soccer her freshman year before focusing on cross country and track all four years… Tabbed Mission Viejo’s Most Valuable XC Runner in 2016… 5k school record holder with a personal best time of 18:03.2… Two-time South Coast All-League Varsity honoree in cross… Earned All-OC honors senior year, along with First Team All-CIF SS Division II (13th place), and First-Team All-State (8th place)… In track, competed in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m… Picked up South Coast All-League honors in both the 1600m and 3200m her junior year… Placed 4th in the 1600m at the 2019 CIF SS Division II finals to lead the Diablos to a CIF SS team title… Academically, was a three-year scholar-athlete in both cross country and track… Four-year Principal’s Honor Roll member at Mission Viejo… Was in the top six percent of her class to graduate with honors.
PERSONAL: From Dove Canyon, Calif… Parents are Crista and Michael Hicken… Crista attended UC Berkeley, while Michael went to Cal State Fullerton… Has an older brother Jacob Hicken who attends San Diego State… Has three obsessions: cats, chocolate, and reality tv shows… High school teammates were some of the best athletes she competed against due to their incredible work ethic… Career sports highlight is finishing eighth at CIF’s her senior year… Favorite movie is 5 Feet Apart… Favorite hobbies include serving at her church… Take away everything except her journal… Chose UC Davis Athletics because the coaches care about her as a person, are excited to build her up, and prioritize academic, athletic, and personal goals in a way unlike any other school.
