HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Aggies created early pressure in the opening quarter, earning four penalty corners and placing a shot on goal from Larissa Roldan, while Addy Collingwood turned away Louisville's Chloe Plumb at the 13:47 mark.
- Both defenses locked down in a scoreless second quarter, with Franken testing the Cardinals' goalie at the 17:54 mark and the Aggie backline blocking Louisville's lone corner attempt to enter halftime deadlocked at 0-0.
- UC Davis broke the tie early in the second half, striking just 34 seconds into the third quarter as Main converted off a setup from Franken following an Aggie penalty corner.
- The Aggie backline held firm throughout the fourth quarter, weathering late Louisville pressure and standing strong through a late Cardinal penalty corner to seal the 1-0 shutout.
