DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis (1-3-1) dominated much of a 1-1 tie with UC Santa Barbara (3-1-1) in a nonconference match on Sunday night in its first match at Aggie Soccer Field in two weeks. The Aggies gave up a goal to the Gauchos' Delilah Vega-Agular on an assist from Chayse Yu in the opening minute of the contest before Lakelee Perkins scored the equalizer on an Aggies corner kick from Courtney Wagner in the 22nd minute. Despite getting off another 10 shots, including three more on goal, the Aggies could not add a game-winner.
Both teams had shots go off the top of the crossbar in the second half from the Aggies' Kaya Herndon in the 60th minute and the Gauchos' Isabella Ong with just 53 ticks remaining on the clock.
The goalkeepers for both teams went the distance with UC Santa Barbara's Maddie Buckley recording four saves and UC Davis' Piper Wilkison making one.
The Aggies finished with advantages of 14-6 in shots and 5-2 in shots on goal, as well as 3-0 in corner kicks.
UC Davis, who ended a three-game losing streak, will next be in action when the Aggies host Pacific (0-4) on Sunday, Sept. 6. The game will kick off at 7 p.m. and be televised live on MW+.

Event parking will be honored in Lot 25 and the Pavilion Parking Structure for all home games through Sept. 11. The cost for weekday games is $5.50, while weekends including the upcoming Sacramento State game are free but both require parking permits. There is construction work in the area and fans should follow posted signage around the Pavilion Parking Structure, Lot 25 and Aggie Soccer Field to enter the venue.

- M Kaya Herndon became the 16th UC Davis player to start a match in 2026 today. D Kiley Fehrenbacher, F Lakelee Perkins, D Courtney Wagner and D Sydnie Fong are the only four to start all five.
- D Kiley Fehrnebacher extended her consecutive matches started streak to 24 (all games possible in the last two seasons).
- GK Piper Wilkison played all 90 minutes in goal for the second straight match. D Kiley Fehrenbacher and D Summer Humphreys also both played all 90 minutes.
- Samantha Murdin and Viet-Thy Tran both made their 2026 season debuts with Murdin's also her collegiate debut. The Aggies have now played 24 of the 28 players on their roster in 2026.
- The teams tied for the second consecutive match with 2005's lone meeting also in Davis and also ending in a 1-1 tie.
- UC Davis is now unbeaten (1-0-2) in its last three matches against UC Santa Barbara.
