DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis women's soccer head coach
Kat Mertz has announced the additions of defender Sydnie Fong and forward Ashley Brewer, rounding out the program's incoming class ahead of its first season in the Mountain West Conference. Both California natives bring collegiate experience to Davis, Fong from current Mountain West member Nevada and Brewer from Big West program Cal Poly.
"We are excited to finalize our roster with the additions of Sydnie and Ashley," said Mertz. "Both bring valuable collegiate experience and a competitive mindset that will strengthen our pursuit of a Mountain West Championship. Sydnie is a tough, gritty defender who excels at winning battles and getting forward in the attack, while Ashley is a relentless, attack-minded forward who creates problems for opposing defenses. We are excited about the impact both players will have on our program this fall."
