THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis closed its regular season and its tenure as a Big West Conference member with a 3-1 win over Hawai'i on Sunday afternoon at Dobbins Stadium, taking the three-game weekend series two games to one.
Braydon Wooldridge delivered five innings of one-run ball as the starter before the Aggies broke through with a run in the fifth and two in the sixth, with
Ethan Felix's RBI double and
Ryan Lee's RBI single each driving in a run in the deciding frame.
Tyler Wood (2-2) earned the win after two innings of scoreless relief, andÂ
Rowen Barnes recorded his 12th save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth. Brody Martin-Grudzielanek (0-5) took the loss for Hawai'i.

LEADING OFF
- Wooldridge worked 5.0 innings as the starter, allowing one run on five hits with no walks on 74 pitches
- Wood (2-2) earned the win after 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing just four hits with one strikeout on 33 pitches
- Mason Lerma added a scoreless inning of one-hit ball with two strikeouts on 17 pitches
- Barnes recorded his 12th save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth on 10 pitches
- Barnes is now tied for the second most saves in the country
- Ethan Felix went 2-for-3 with an RBI double, a hit by pitch and a run scored
- Elijah McNeal finished 2-for-4 with a double and scored on Felix's RBI double in the sixth

- Lee finished 1-for-3 with the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth, a walk and a run scored

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hawai'i opened the scoring in the top of the third on a Tate Shimao RBI single to left center that scored Noah Rodriguez, who had reached on a leadoff single, for a 1-0 lead.
- UC Davis tied the game in the bottom of the fifth as Lee drew a walk to lead off the inning, advanced to second on a Wooldridge groundout and scored on Story's RBI single to left field.
- The Aggies took the lead with a two-run sixth: McNeal singled to left, Felix doubled to left center to score McNeal, and Lee followed with an RBI single to left to plate Felix for a 3-1 lead.
- Wood worked around four singles across two scoreless innings in the sixth and seventh, including a 6-4-3 double play to end the seventh, before Lerma struck out two in a clean eighth.
- Barnes set Hawai'i down in order in the top of the ninth on 10 pitches to lock up his 12th save of the season.
