DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis senior Lucas Bollinger has been named Big West Men's Tennis Player of the Week after a strong showing at the Golden State Invitational this past weekend at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.
Bollinger led the Aggies in singles play, earning victories at the No. 1 position across multiple matches during the tournament. He opened the weekend with a commanding 6-1, 6-3 win before extending his momentum with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 performance in the Aggies' second match of the event.
The senior capped his weekend with another straight-sets victory, defeating his opponent 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles. Bollinger's performance helped anchor the Aggies' lineup throughout the invitational and highlighted his continued consistency at the top of the order.
The weekly honor marks the first Big West Player of the Week recognition for Bollinger this season.
