HOW IT HAPPENED
- It did not take long, but the Aggies quickly jumped to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, with Reeves deliving the big blow when she hit an RBI triple to knock in Felice for the second run of the game. Reeves would come around to score to make it 3-0
- Weber State used five runs in the second and third to take the lead from the Aggies, going up 5-3 with a home run in the third that would bring Scholtens into the game
- But the Aggies had a response, scoring a pair of runs on a Sydney Polli RBI double and Felice RBI single to tie things up at 5-5
- Much to the flow of the game, Weber State would retake the lead, scoring four runs in the fifth and sixth frames to go up 9-6
- UC Davis was not done, once again storming back this time in the bottom of the sixth exploding for six runs and the first came across when the Aggies executed a perfect double steal that brought home Dethlefson
- With the bases loaded, Reeves drew a walk to make it 9-7 and setting the table for Kalanetra to feast, and that's exactly what the Aggie backstop did when she smashed a three RBI bases clearing double to center field to put the Aggies back in front at 10-9
- Kalanetra came across to score on a Dethlefson sacrifice fly, an important run that made it 11-9 and after Weber State scored one in the seventh, Sawai shut the door for the Aggie 11-10 weekend opening victoryÂ
