GAME 9 NOTES:
  • Jordan Fisher continues to prove to be one of the elite running backs at the FCS level as the senior finished with 128 yards on 27 carries (4.7 average) at Weber State last Saturday. The senior totaled 100-plus rushing yards for the fourth time this season, and the 10th time in his career. On the fifth play of the game, and his second rush attempt, Fisher passed Shola Adeyemo for sixth all-time in career rushing yards. Overall, he now has 2,393 career rushing yards heading into this weekend.
  • Zach Jones broke free on a handful of plays in Ogden, finishing with 76 yards on four receptions (tied career high), setting a new season high in receiving yards. It was also his second-highest receiving yardage total of his career (had 83 yards vs. Illinois State on Dec. 13, 2025). Jones' touchdown in the first quarter was his fourth receiving touchdown of the season, and his seventh touchdown overall (four receiving, two punt return, one rushing). The 38-yard score was his second-longest reception of the season and the third-longest of his career.
  • Laviel Pickett was a positive presence last time out, setting new career-highs in both receptions (five) and receiving yards (73). His 30-yard reception in the first quarter was the third-longest reception of his career.
  • Hayden John was all over the field against the Wildcats as the Idaho transfer tied his career-high with 11 total tackles, including a new career-high with 10 solo tackles.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES:
  • Brayden Rosa has shined in the secondary for UC Davis this year and continues to make the most of every opportunity. The Santa Clara, Calif. Native finished with seven tackles (six solo) last weekend at #22/RV Weber State, pushing him up the national leaderboards statistically. He currently ranks first in the Big Sky and ninth nationally in forced fumbles (3), and sixth in the Big Sky and 24th nationally in solo tackles (42).
  • Multiple Aggies continue to rank among the nation's best in various statistical categories: Jordan Fisher is seventh in rushing yards (975), eighth in rushing touchdowns (10), eleventh in rushing yards per game (108.3), and thirteenth in rush yards per carry (6.33). Samuel Gbatu, Jr. is currently sixth in receiving yards (853) and receiving yards per game (94.8), and seventh in receptions per game (6.78).
  • As a team, UC Davis is 3-0 following a loss this season. Most recently, the Aggies will aim to repeat their performance from two weeks ago, when the team dominated Northern Colorado, 33-6, at home (Oct. 24) despite falling on the road one week prior at Southern Utah, 38-17 (Oct. 17).
  • With two home games left on the regular season schedule, UC Davis is set to celebrate Parent and Family Weekend, Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day, and Band Day this Saturday. Following kickoff at 4:00 pm, your favorite furry friends will return to the field during the end of the first quarter break as the annual Doxie Derby returns to UC Davis Health Stadium.
THE SERIES VS. UTAH TECH:
  • Saturday's game between UC Davis and Utah Tech will mark the fourth all-time meeting between the two programs, with the Aggies holding a 3-0 lead in the all-time series. The Aggies were victorious in the most recent meeting between the two, securing a 31-24 victory last season in St. George on Aug. 30, 2025.
  • A win would give the Aggies their fourth consecutive win over Utah Tech and their third straight win in Davis. It would also keep UC Davis perfect (4-0) in the all-time series.
