FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference announced its 2027 football schedule today, Tuesday, Oct. 27. UC Davis is slated for nine conference games, including four home games at UC Davis Health Stadium.
For the second straight year, Big Sky action will begin in Week 0, with 10 of the 13 teams kicking off the regular season on Aug. 28, 2027. The Aggies will be one of three teams with an "open" slot, as UC Davis is scheduled to open the 2027 season on the road at UCLA.
Transitioning to conference play on Sept. 25, the Aggies will open Big Sky play on the road at Northern Colorado. The full conference schedule is highlighted by home games against defending national champion Montana State (Oct. 2), Portland State (Oct. 16), Idaho State (Oct. 23), and Idaho (Nov. 13).
With the addition of Southern Utah and Utah Tech to the Big Sky in 2026, the league moved to nine conference games annually, with one team playing eight games due to the odd number of schools. Teams will alternate between five and four home games each season due to the odd number of conference games during the scheduling cycle. The odd number of conference games also means that at least one team each week will not be in conference play during the season.
