DAVIS, Calif. — UC Davis volleyball put together another dominant performance with a three set victory against Nevada at home on Saturday, Oct. 24.
FIRST SERVE
- This victory marks the fourth time this season the Aggies have swept their opponent, the first time they've done it in back-to-back matches.
- Gianna Bogan led the offense with 10 kills on the day, the seventh time she's collected double-digits in a match this season.
- Ally Chandler was close behind with seven kills.Â
- For the second straight contest, Chandler was the all-around player, adding five digs, three blocks, and four service aces, tying her season-high on the serve.
- Mia Starr orchestrated the offense all afternoon with 28 assists.
WHAT HEAD COACH DAN CONNERS HAD TO SAY
"I thought we played very efficient volleyball. Mia distributed the ball very well. We usually rely on Ally Chandler but we had most of the team contributing today. Ally did her part, but the rest of the team really stepped up. It was good to see us have that balance."

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- After Isabella Umpierre got the first kill of the day, Davis built an early 5-3 advantage on a block from Chandler and Brooke Hibino.
- Umpierre continued to lead the way with two more kills and a service ace before the first kill of the day from Allie Caldwell put the Ags in the red zone at 20-12.
- Bogan got the last kill of the set, leading to a 25-17 win.
- The Aggies' dominance continued in the start of the second, getting seven of the first eight points led by back-to-back kills by Chandler and Bogan.
- They continued to build a lead with aces by Khloe Wong and Chandler, going up by as much as 13 at 16-3.
- UNR looked to battle back with late points, but Hibino closed out a 25-12 victory that put the home team up 2-0.
- Both teams battled much closer to begin set three. Caldwell had a pair of kills to get her team to 15 first, heading to the technical timeout up 15-11.
- The Wolf Pack rallied to get as close as three, but errors pushed the home lead further.
- On match point, Bogan hit double-digits off a pass from Starr, securing a 25-16 win and another sweep.
