DAVIS, Calif. — No. 7 UC Davis equestrian kicks off the spring season this week with three road meets, beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 28, to compete against SMU at 10 a.m. PT, followed by a matchup with TCU on Thursday, Jan. 29, at 8 a.m. PT, before closing the week on Saturday, Jan. 31, to take on Fresno State at 10 a.m.

ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
- The SMU Mustangs enter the spring season ranked No. 6 in the latest NCEA Dual Discipline Selection Committee Rankings.
- The Mustangs come into the meet with a 2-3 record, earning victories over Texas A&M and Baylor, and losses to Auburn, Oklahoma State, and South Carolina.
- This will be the first time the Aggies take on SMU since the 2023-24 season, where SMU narrowly took the win in a final score of 9-11.
ABOUT THE HORNED FROGS
- The TCU Horned Frogs are a part of the Big 12 Conference and come into the spring season ranked No. 8 in the latest NCEA Dual Discipline Selection Committee Rankings.
- The Horned Frogs enter the meet with a 3-3 record, picking up wins against Oklahoma State, Baylor, and Georgia, while falling to UC Davis, Fresno State, and Auburn.
- UC Davis last competed against TCU earlier in the fall season, beating them 13-7.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
- The Fresno State Bulldogs are also a part of the Big 12 Conference and enter the spring season ranked No. 9 in the latest NCEA Dual Discipline Selection Committee Rankings.
- The Bulldogs come into the meet with a 2-3 record, recording victories over South Dakota State and TCU, and defeats from Baylor, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State.
- The Aggies last competed against Fresno State during the 2024-25 season, falling shy in a final 8-12 score.

The Aggies sat at No. 9 before the season concluded, with rankings now switching from the Coaches Poll to the Selection Committee Rankings for the remainder of the season.
- UC DAVIS AWARDED ECAC HORSE OF THE MONTH: UC Davis's Courtage was named as the ECAC Horse of the Month for November, following her remarkable career guiding riders to success in the ring, she led the Aggies in her final collegiate ride before retiring as a trail horse in the Hawaiian Islands.
- AGGIES SWEEP ECAC MONTHLY AWARDS: Concluding the Aggies fall season, Chloe Fares, Eliza Plum, Anna Donovan, and Mya Clader were each honored as the ECAC Riders of the Month for November.
- AGS SWEEP ECAC HONORS FOR THIRD TIME: For the third time in the season, UC Davis claimed all four ECAC Rider of the Week honors, with Mya Clader, Chloe Fares, Eliza Plum, and Cavan Smith each being recognized for their impressive performances over the weekend, one where UC Davis recorded back-to-back victories over Delaware State and UT Martin.
- SULLIVAN AWARDED NCEA MONTHLY ACCOLADE: The NCEA awarded Lola Sullivan its Standout Student-Athlete of the Month accolade for October, recognizing the UC Davis junior for her academic excellence, compassion, and leadership within the Aggie community and beyond.
- PAIR OF AGS EARN ECAC MONTHLY AWARDS: Closing out a successful October that included key wins over South Dakota State and UC Davis' first-ever victory over TCU, Sophia Blake and Mya Clader were each honored as ECAC Riders of the Month, each winning points in four out of five meets.
- HIRSCHFIELD AWARDED NCEA TITLE: Sophomore Ada Hirschfeld earned NCEA Western Ride of the Week honors after a standout weekend that included Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) recognition in reining against No. 2 South Carolina.
- AGS SWEEP ECAC HONORS FOR SECOND WEEK IN A ROW: For the second straight week, UC Davis claimed all four ECAC Rider of the Week honors, with Sophia Blake, Ada Hirschfeld, Lauren Kolbe, and Kylie Jacobson recognized for their standout performances across back-to-back top-10 meets in Georgia.
- AGS SWEEP ECAC HONORS: Following a historic 13-7 win over then-No. 5 TCU, all four UC Davis nominees earned ECAC Rider of the Week honors. Lauren Kolbe was recognized in Flat, Carmen Gonzalez in Fences, Eliza Plum in Horsemanship, and Nicole Shroyer in Reining, marking a standout week across all four events for the Aggies.
- AGGIES CLIMB TO TOP NINE: After earning their first-ever win over a top-five opponent against then-No. 5 TCU, UC Davis climbed one spot to No. 9 in this week's NCEA Dual Discipline Coaches Poll. The Aggies entered the rankings at No. 10 last week following a home win over South Dakota State.
- PAIR OF AGS EARN ECAC HONORS: Following a weekend where No. 10 UC Davis equestrian battled No. 4 Texas A&M and knocked off then-ranked No. 10 South Dakota State, Anna Donovan and Mya Clader each earned ECAC Rider of the Week honors. Anna Donovan earned the honors in Fences while Mya Clader earned the honors in Reining.
