CLEVELAND, Ohio. — UC Davis swim and dive senior captain Ella Palmer has been named one of 180 nominees for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Winter), an honor that recognizes student-athletes across all divisions who excel both in the pool and in their communities.

The annual award, presented by Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), highlights student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academic success, and athletic performance. Nominees for the winter season come from 15 different sports, including swimming and diving, basketball, wrestling, indoor track & field, and bowling.

A selection committee made up of athletics directors, former student-athletes, and industry leaders will choose a final 20-member team, made up of 10 men and 10 women, with one student-athlete serving as the team captain. 

Ella Palmer's nomination reflects her leadership in the pool as UC Davis' swim and dive captain, as well as her dedication to making a positive impact off the deck with her work with the Big West Conference and UC Davis Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
