THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis honored five seniors on Sunday before falling 1-0 to Cal Poly at Aggie Soccer Field. The Mustangs netted the match's lone goal in the 67th minute, holding off a late UC Davis push despite nine Aggie shots and five saves from goalkeeper Cat Pieper.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- UC Davis held Cal Poly scoreless in the first half, with Pieper making four saves to preserve the 0-0 draw at halftime
- Canavan struck the woodwork in the 33rd minute, nearly breaking the deadlock
- Coverdale forced a save in the 37th minute as UC Davis carried momentum into the break
- In the second half, Coverdale provided the Aggie attack with UC Davis' best scoring opportunity of the day with back-to-back shots being saved in the 55th minute as UC Davis pressed forward
- Cal Poly however would respond by scoring the game-winner in the 66th minute through Annika Smith, assisted by Kiki Vostermans and Emily Lieber
- UC Davis continued to apply pressure late, but the Mustangs' defense held firm to secure the 1-0 result
