THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis broke through with two second-half goals to secure a 2-0 Causeway Cup win over Sacramento State on Thursday night at Hornet Field. Lakelee Perkins put the Aggies on the board in the 51st minute, and Genavieve Fontes added the insurance goal in the 82nd. Goalkeeper Cat Pieper made two saves to record her third shutout of the season.

- Sacramento State's Palmatier recorded four first-half saves to keep the match scoreless at the break
- Perkins broke through in the 51st minute with a deep strike into the upper netting for a 1-0 Aggie lead
- Sacramento State pushed back with chances from Aryana Martinez and Ellie Farber, but Pieper denied both in the second half
- UC Davis sealed the win in the 82nd minute when Canavan played ball through to Fontes, who converted past Palmatier to make it 2-0
