THE SHORT STORY: UC Davis dropped a 1-0 decision to Montana on Sunday at Aggie Soccer Field. The Grizzlies struck in the 6th minute and held off a persistent Aggie attack, as UC Davis generated 17 shots but was unable to break through, while defensively, Goalkeeper Cat Pieper recorded three saves to keep the match within reach throughout.

- The Aggies outshot Montana 17-8, including five shots on goal
- Cat Pieper finished with three saves in 90 minutes
- Along with Pieper's efforts, the Aggie defense limited the Grizzlies to just four looks on goal

- Montana opened the scoring in the 6th minute when Eliza Bentler converted off a pass from Chloe Seelhoff
- The Aggies created pressure with back-to-back attempts from Bushman in the 14th minute and shots by Fontes at the 20th, all saved by Montana goalkeeper Ashlyn Dvorak
- Pieper kept the deficit at one with key stops early in the second half on attempts from Mia Parkhurst and Liv Thorne-Thomsen
- UC Davis continued to push forward with looks from Canavan, Ava Coverdale, and Bailey Rakela, but the Aggies could not find the equalizer.
- Montana's defense held firm in the final stretch to secure the 1-0 result
