HOW IT HAPPENED

·       The Bobcats struck first in the ninth minute when freshman forward Karly DuCoin found the back of the cage to give Ohio an early lead.

·       UC Davis looked to respond as senior Beth Munro-Morris had a shot on goal, but her attempt was blocked by the Bobcats' defense.

·       Ohio's back line continued to stand strong, denying opportunities from Ella Franken and Sutton Van Dyk to preserve the lead.

·       The Aggies finally broke through in the 29th minute, as redshirt junior Karly Redman buried the equalizer to make it 1-1.

·       UC Davis generated four penalty corner opportunities in the third quarter but was unable to convert.

·       In the 59th minute, Ohio's Natalie Lafleur was issued a yellow card, giving the Aggies a late advantage they couldn't capitalize on.

·       With the score knotted 1-1 at the final whistle, the game headed into a 7-on-7 sudden-death overtime period.

·       UC Davis recorded two shots in the 62nd minute of overtime, but both were saved by Ohio's goalkeeper to keep the match alive.

·       The Bobcats then capitalized on a turnover and netted the golden goal, securing a 2-1 overtime win.
