- UC Davis answered just before the half when Tran assisted Humphreys for the equalizer off a set-piece
- The Spartans however reclaimed the lead late in the 87th minute on a free kick with a left-footed strike from Memoly
- UC Davis was able to generate one more corner in the final minute, but the Spartans were able to hold off the final push from the Aggies
