UC Davis CLEAR Center Named the Presenting Sponsor of Big Sky Opener Versus Weber State

DAVIS, Calif. - For the second straight year, the UC Davis CLEAR Center has been named the sponsor of the UC Davis football Salute to Ag Day game, which will be played on Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7:00 p.m. PT in the Aggies' Big Sky opener against Weber State.

At 4:30 p.m., during the pregame tailgate, fans will have a chance to get an up-close look at a showcase featuring cattle, sheep, goats, tractors, and more, turning the tailgate into a tribute to UC Davis' roots as a leader in agricultural excellence. Fans interested in learning more about the CLEAR Center and its mission in spreading environmental awareness can visit their table on the UC Davis Health Stadium concourse during the game.

"To see agriculture celebrated in such a high-energy, crowd-filled space like a football game is incredible," said Dr. Frank Mitloehner, director of the CLEAR Center. "It's a reminder that farming isn't just essential—it's also deeply connected to our everyday lives. And this game brings that message to life in a way that's fun and exciting, and it will be a powerful tribute to the people driving agriculture forward."

"This collaboration is a true example of campus synergy," said UC Davis Athletics Senior Woman Administrator Danielle Shank, "Highlighting the important work the CLEAR Center conducts in advancing animal agriculture and sustainability while enhancing the game day experience in a unique and memorable way. We are grateful to the CLEAR Center for their continued partnership."

In addition to Salute to Ag Day, the matchup against the Wildcats will also feature a number of celebrations for Aggie fans to participate in, including the traditional First Year Field Storm, the Jr. Aggiette Cheer Clinic, and a celebration of ChicanX & LatinX Heritage Month.
