"The 2024–25 season was a remarkable one for UC Davis Athletics, and it would not have been possible without your support." Notes Director of Athletics Rocko DeLuca. "We delivered our most competitively successful year as a Division I program, highlighted by an all-time best finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup. Your generosity helped fuel record gains in donations, ticket sales, and partnerships, while energizing our fan base like never before. Most importantly, our student-athletes continued to thrive, achieving near-record GPAs and making the most of the academic and leadership opportunities that set UC Davis apart. Thank you for helping us raise the bar in every area."

Mountain West Invite, Championships & Postseason

On December 10, 2024, UC Davis formally accepted an invitation to the Mountain West Conference effective July 1, 2026, elevating the Aggie brand to a national level. This invitation came off a fall season that saw every UC Davis team make it to their respective postseason, with the men's soccer team powering its way to the Big West Tournament championship and the program's fourth-ever NCAA Championship appearance.

In addition to men's soccer, Aggie football, gymnastics, and women's golf also appeared as teams in the NCAA postseason. The football team won 11 games for the first time and made it to just their second NCAA Quarterfinals, gymnastics claimed a spot in the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2014, and women's golf finished seventh out of 12 teams in the NCAA Lubbock Regional, coming just one stroke off the final cutline for the championship round.

Representing UC Davis individually, Leila Busch and Katherine Lim of the swim and dive team advanced to the NCAA Zone E Championships in the 3-meter dive, placing 33rd and 35th in the event, respectively. Track and field competitors Dani Barrett and Maya Shinneck advanced to the NCAA regionals, with Barrett participating in the 10,000-meter and Shinneck competing in the 400-meter.

Historic Wins & Notable Awards

In a year full of firsts, the Aggies also saw many historic wins across multiple sports. In their first-ever win over an SEC program, women's soccer scored three goals in the final five minutes to beat LSU at Aggie Soccer Field. Hosting the University of Idaho in their conference opener, football had its first win over a top-five ranked team in program history. In the University Credit Union Center, volleyball beat powerhouse UCLA for the first time, and women's basketball beat Arizona State for their first Power 4 conference win since 2021.

These big wins have led to many notable awards for Aggie student-athletes across all 25 sports, including 13 All-Americans, 89 All-Conference winners, three conference Athlete of the Year awards, and 10 All-Regional Athletes.
