DAVIS, Calif. - UC Davis student-athletes elevated themselves in the classroom by posting a cumulative GPA of 3.30 in the winter quarter.

The women's teams had a combined 3.39 GPA, while all men's teams combined for a GPA of 3.15.

An impressive 77 student-athletes finished the quarter with a 4.0 GPA, making up 11.92 percent of all student-athletes. 295 student-athletes posted a GPA of 3.5 or higher (45.67 percent), and 464 student-athletes wrapped up their winter quarter with a 3.0 GPA or higher, encompassing 71.83 percent of all student-athletes.

Women's water polo led all teams with a quarterly team GPA of 3.53, on the men's side, basketball marked the highest GPA at 3.31.

As of winter quarter, our current student-athletes are enrolled in:

• 21 majors in the College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences
• 9 majors in the College of Biological Sciences
• 12 majors in the College of Engineering
• 28 majors in the College of Letters & Sciences
• 18 student-athletes are pursuing double majors
• 20 student-athletes are in Graduate Studies

The 20 student-athletes currently competing while in graduate school at UC Davis are enrolled in the following three programs:

• Master of Science program in Computer Science
• Master of Business Administration in the Graduate School of Management
• Master of Management in the Graduate School of Management
