- Jaxon Murphy paced UC Davis' offense, going 3-for-4 with a double
- Alex Gouveia reached base three times, going 2-for-2 with a walk, and scored the Aggies' lone run in the third inning
- Tyler Howard drove in Gouveia for UC Davis' only RBI with a third-inning single to left field
- UC Davis struck first but, managed just one run despite out-hitting the Beach at a 9-7 clip
- Long Beach State's Trotter Enright delivered the go-ahead RBI single, part of a 2-for-2 performance

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Aggies got on the board after Gouveia singled, advanced to second on a throwing error, and scored on Howard's RBI single through the left side
- Long Beach State capitalized on a UC Davis fielding error, plating an unearned run on a fielder's choice, and another one with a single from Enright
- The Beach scratched two more across in the seventh when Jake Evans launched a solo homer, followed by Enright's RBI double to right-center
- UC Davis put at least one runner on from the second inning all the way to the ninth and even out-hit Long Beach State 9-7, but were unable to generate a rally
