- After Creighton tied the game at 1-1, UC Davis regained the lead in the fifth inning, plating two runs to take a 3-1 advantage
- However, the lead would not hold with Creighton exploding for eight runs over the final four innings, including a six-run seventh inning, to secure a 9-3 victory
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME TWO)
- The Aggies' offense struggled to find consistency in the second game, as Creighton took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning
- UC Davis didn't threaten until the fourth inning, when they advanced a runner into scoring position for the first time
- While the Aggies' pitching staff kept Creighton's offense in check for most of the game, allowing just one run through five innings, the Bluejays broke through in the sixth
- Sailors launched a solo home run to right field, extending Creighton's lead to 2-0
- Creighton added two more runs in the seventh inning, providing enough insurance to secure a 4-0 victory and complete the doubleheader sweep
