The short story: UC Davis women's tennis had an impressive weekend, dominating Portland with a 5-2 victory, with a strong performance by freshman Isabella Bringas helping them secure the victory. 

COURTSIDE 

• The Aggies took the early lead, grabbing the doubles point. 

• All doubles pairs went undefeated throughout the entire weekend. 

• Four different Aggies took home wins in singles. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Aggies opened the morning with doubles. Daisy Maunupau and Mika Ikemori finished first, taking down their Pilot opponents in a dominating match.

• Next to finish was the pair of Solia Valentine and Polina Marakhtanova, who also took home a win for the Aggies, clinching them the overall doubles point. 

• Last to finish was the pair of Claire Galerkin and new partner Maya Youssef who are still undefeated. 

• Onto singles, the first to finish was freshman Marakhtanova, who dominated her match and went undefeated throughout the weekend. 

• Next to follow was her doubles partner Valentine, who defeated her Pilot opponent in two sets putting the Aggies up 3-0. 

• First to fall was sophomore Ikemori, who went down in two sets making the score 3-1. 

• Next to finish was junior Youssef, who took her match to three sets and came out on top to go undefeated throughout the weekend. 

• Freshman Isabella Bringas had a grueling match that went to three sets, but she came out on top in the end clinching the overall match for the Aggies. 

• Senior Maunupau finished out her match and played through three sets and a tiebreaker, but was unable to come out with a win making the final score 5-2.
